Techiman, Ghana — April 25, 2025
As the world observes World Malaria Day 2025, the Bono East Regional Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service, in collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), is reinforcing its commitment to the fight against malaria with the theme: "Malaria Ends With Us: Reinvest, Reimagine, Reignite."
This year’s observance serves as a call to action to intensify awareness on the devastating impact of malaria, while rallying communities, health workers, and policymakers to accelerate progress toward a malaria-free Ghana. The Directorate emphasizes that through collective efforts in prevention, early detection, and effective treatment, countless lives can be saved and healthier communities built.
In a statement issued today, officials urged Ghanaians to unite in the campaign to end malaria for good, reaffirming the nation’s dedication to eliminating the disease that continues to pose a significant public health challenge.
