As Ghana observes National Nurses Week from May 6 to May 12, 2025, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) extends heartfelt gratitude to the nation's nurses and midwives for their unwavering dedication and compassion. This week serves as a poignant reminder of the critical role these professionals play in the healthcare system and the profound impact they have on the well-being of individuals and communities.

In a statement, the GHS expressed:

"To every nurse across Ghana and beyond, we say a big THANK YOU! This National Nurses Week, we pause to honor your courage, compassion, and tireless commitment. You are the heartbeat of our healthcare system. You don’t just care for patients, you care for humanity. From all of us at the Ghana Health Service; We see you. We value you. We celebrate you.
