Dr. Sania Nishtar Visits Health Facilities in Ghana to Support Child Immunization Efforts

As part of activities marking African Vaccination Week and Child Health Promotion Week, Dr. Sania Nishtar paid a visit yesterday to St. Gregory Catholic Hospital in Buduburam to support and assess ongoing child health initiatives.
During the visit, Dr. Nishtar toured the Paediatric Ward and the Immunization Centre, where she reviewed the well-being of children and observed routine vaccination efforts. She later proceeded to the Oyinase outreach point in Kasoa Nyanyano, where she interacted with frontline health workers and caregivers and participated in vaccination activities by administering vaccines to several children.
Her visit highlights the importance of continued partnerships in expanding access to lifesaving immunization services. The Ghana Health Service emphasized that such collaborations are essential in promoting equitable healthcare, especially for children in underserved communities.
