NHIA Inaugurates New Office Complex and Presents Vehicles for Improved Service Delivery

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has recently unveiled a state-of-the-art office complex in Kpetoe, situated in the Agotime-Ziope District of the Volta Region. This new facility, serving both the Agotime-Ziope and Adaklu districts, underscores the NHIA’s commitment to enhancing service delivery.
During the inauguration ceremony led by NHIA CEO Dr Bernard Okoe Boye, four brand new Toyota Hilux pick-up vehicles were also presented to offices in Ketu North, Adaklu Anyigbe, South Dayi, and Kpando. Dr Boye emphasized the importance of modern infrastructure in facilitating effective NHIA operations and urged staff to maintain the facility diligently for long-term community benefit.
Furthermore, Dr Boye encouraged NHIS members to utilize the MyNHISApp for convenient access to NHIA services from their mobile devices, emphasizing the importance of leveraging technology for streamlined healthcare access.
In terms of claims processing, Dr Boye highlighted significant improvements, with the NHIA processing and paying claims promptly, a stark contrast to previous delays. Over the past three months alone, the authority disbursed over GH¢800 million in claims, reflecting enhanced efficiency.
Regional Minister Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, who presented the vehicles, commended the NHIS’s progress and affirmed the Regional Coordinating Council’s unwavering support for expanding NHIA successes in the region. He urged those not yet enrolled in the scheme to register promptly to benefit from its services.
Joseph Homenya, Regional Director of NHIA, expressed satisfaction with the new office complex, noting its potential to inspire staff to greater productivity. He also revealed ongoing projects to establish office complexes in the North Tongu, South Tongu, and Akatsi districts, underscoring the NHIA’s commitment to comprehensive regional coverage and service excellence.
