Oti Regional Health Directorate Conducts Capacity-Building Training for Nurse Leaders

The Oti Regional Health Directorate is currently concluding a two-day Capacity-Building Training program aimed at strengthening the leadership and professional competencies of key nursing personnel across the region. The training, which commenced on May 19, 2025, is set to wrap up today.
Organized under the auspices of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), the intensive workshop brings together Nurse Managers, Deputy Nurse Managers, and District Public Health Nurses from all districts within the Oti Region. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance healthcare service delivery through improved leadership and technical expertise among frontline nursing professionals.
Leading the program is Mrs. Eva Mensah, Director of Nursing and Midwifery at the GHS Headquarters, who is serving as the chief facilitator. She is supported by a team of seasoned health professionals, including:

Understanding the foundational building blocks of the health system
According to the organizers, the program is expected to empower nurse leaders with practical tools and strategic insights to drive quality improvement initiatives in their respective facilities. The ultimate goal is to foster a more responsive and efficient healthcare delivery system across the Oti Region.
